9-4 pm: The Bits and Bytes of EtherNet/IP – Here you will deep dive into EtherNet/IP. You’ll learn how EtherNet/IP utilizes TCP and UDP. You’ll also look at the data modeling (Common Industrial Protocol (CIP)) and the different methods of communicating with your PLC. Finally, you will analyze the ‘bits and bytes’ of EtherNet/IP during normal communications and during error situations.

9-12pm: ODVA Places You’ll Go with EtherNet/IP! – This section focuses on how EtherNet/IP devices are verified for proper behaviors and interoperability by ODVA. Using Rockwell Automation PLCs, you will walk through the commissioning process and identify common issues you’ll encounter during normal operations.
