Connect USB Printers and Barcode Scanners to the Data Table of a DF1 Based Allen-Bradley PLC.
You can now get your USB devices connected to your legacy serial PLCs! Any of your old, serial PLCs like the PLC5, SLC, or MicroLogix can now access USB printer or barcode scanners devices.

It’s the perfect tool to keep those old legacy PLCs from the scrap pile and be useful in a Logix PLC environment.

How Do I Use the 460USBDFM in My Application?
Incoming and outgoing USB data is mapped to and from user defined files like N7:200 or F9:1 in the data table of your Allen-Bradley PLC. You allocate two blocks of files in your Allen-Bradley PLC, an in block for scans, and an out block for printers.

It really is that simple.

Why Use Real Time Automation as a Gateway Supplier?
While there are certainly a number of other companies offering gateways, there is no one who provides the level of support and service that you receive from RTA.

When you call, a live person answers the phone. When you talk with sales, you will get honest answers and recommendations. When you get support, it is from an engineer who had a hand in the product’s development, and support doesn’t require a ticket or 24 hour wait.

Try the RTA difference today.

What our Customers are Saying

“I challenged a customer to get it working by the time I got back from his break room with a Coke and he indeed had it working when I got back. He then said, "It’s worth twice the price!"”

Eric P. / Kendall Electric

“Everything seems to be working as we imagined. Thanks for the great response time. I did not see any way to save the configuration other than screen shots, but the configuration did not get lost in the update. Thanks again, and you were a pleasure to work with.”

Kevin L. / Extol, Inc.
