Connect your Modbus RTU Controller with a DeviceNet PLC

The 460MRSDS moves data between a DeviceNet Master and a Modbus RTU Master. The module provides complete communication to a Modbus RTU Master from a DeviceNet Master. This unit provides DeviceNet Master data to a Modbus network as Modbus RTU Slave data and provides a DeviceNet Master with Modbus RTU Master data as a DeviceNet Slave device.

With the 460MRSDS you have a device that can quickly deploy and easily configure to connect a Modbus RTU controller device with a DeviceNet controller.

Move Your Data Bi-directionally

I/O data can be exchanged bi-directionally. Inputs from your DeviceNet Master are concatenated and presented to an Modbus RTU Master as Modbus RTU Data. Outputs from a Modbus RTU Master are distributed to a DeviceNet Master device.

What Makes it so Simple to Use?

Your data transfer is configured via your internet browser. Simply log into your unit using an included discovery tool and you are ready to configure the unit with the web browser interface. You set the number of DeviceNet Slave devices. You set one or more configurable groups of registers to transfer from each Slave and in what order that those registers are transferred to the Modbus RTU Master. There is no software to download or code to futz with. It sounds simple, and it is, that’s the point.

How Does It Work?

The products in the Instant Device Converter product line contain an IEC 61131-3 Control Engine that moves your data between the different network buffers. Input data from one network is moved to the output buffer of one or more other networks. The same principle applies to data moving in the opposite direction.
