Telemechanique Breaks DeviceNet and EtherNet/IP Communication Barriers with Introduction of Real Time Automation’s Option Modules for Altivar 31 Motor Drive .

Wauwatosa, WI, June 16, 2008 – Real Time Automation, Inc. (www.rtaautomation.com) announces the release of its new Altivar 31 Option Modules, using a Freescale™ Coldfire chip. This option card transforms the Altivar 31 into either a DeviceNet or EtherNet/IP server controlled by a Client of either network.

Now any DeviceNet or EtherNet/IP device can send commands and speed references to an Altivar 31 drive. This option module is an easy and inexpensive solution enabling Altivar 31 drives to communicate over DeviceNet and EtherNet/IP.  The DeviceNet and EtherNet/IP option modules snap right into the drive requiring no tools. The Altivar 31 Option Module serves up a configuration WEB page making setup intuitive and simple.

The Altivar 31 Option Card from Real Time Automation, Inc. is another example of how RTA works with OEM manufacturers enabling their products to communicate on automation networks including EtherNet/IP, DeviceNet, Profinet, Modbus TCP, AS Interface, BACnet, and LonWorks.

Details of the Altivar 31 DeviceNet option module are available at: http://www.rtaautomation.com/devicenet/altivar31/
