Ten Common Questions About the “Get It Done For You” Program:
1. How does the program work?
We design software, daughter cards, printed circuit boards or complete
systems to your specifications. For systems that require hardware we work
on either a turn or OEM basis. For turn key work, we provide the complete
design to you. For OEM work, we provide you with modules on an ongoing
basis.
2. What can you do?
We build what you need to your requirements and deliver the quantity you
need when you need them. Typically, our projects are predominantly networking
related but that is not always the case. We’ve built non-networked modules
like Feed Controllers and PLC Modules.
3. What technology can you use? Will you use my favorite processor?
We are a Freescale DAP (Design Assistance Partner) so we typically use
a Freescale processor but are not limited to Freescale. We’ve done projects
with Microchip, Atmel, Phillips and other processors.
4. How Long Does It Take?
A minimum of three to four weeks but the actual time is dependent on the
complexity of the project.
5. How Much Will It Cost?
We’ve done printed circuit boards for as little as $45 a unit and as much
as $1500.00 a board.
6. Do I get prototypes?
Absolutely! The timeline for every project contains a deliverable of 3-10
prototypes that you must approve before your production order begins.
7. Are your products certified?
You decide what certification you want. We’ve done CE, UL, CSA and all
the specific network certifications like ODVA EtherNet/IP, ODVA DeviceNet,
PTO Profinet IO and ASi certification.
8. What is the typical quantity needed to get started?
Unless the project is for a device that is nearly identical to a previous
project we generally a first order run of 100 or 200 units.
