MISTAKE #4 - lack of basic Ethernet knowledge
 

Many vendors and end users have a surprising lack of basic Ethernet knowledge. They don’t really understand what an IP Address is, the different ways that IP Addresses can be created, how switches make subnets, what a gateway address is, what a port number means and much more.
