DeviceNet™ is one of the world’s fastest growing industrial automation networks. You can now create a DeviceNet device in hours, not days, weeks or months using the Instant DeviceNet IC. This small microcontroller is preloaded with a complete DeviceNet application. It provides a means for end users to create their own DeviceNet device without having to write any DeviceNet software or even any application software.
The Instant DeviceNet IC is a fully functional Group 2 Only Slave device. When I/O data is exchanged with a DeviceNet Master, the Instant DeviceNet IC is a configurable IO slave device with:
- 16 bidirectional I/O lines for up to 16 inputs, 16 outputs or any combination of 16 inputs and outputs
- 2 Analog Inputs
- 2 Analog/PWM Outputs
- ASCII Send and Receive
And best of all, the Instant DeviceNet IC is fully configurable. You can set the Vendor ID, Product Code and Serial Number. Devices using the Instant DeviceNet IC become your device for all intents and purposes. It’s the best of all worlds.
