DeviceNet™ Flow Control Module |
Off-The-Shelf
DeviceNet Connectivity For Innovative Flow Manufacturers |
| |
 |
|
If you’re in the Semiconductor, Food,
Pharmaceutical, Industrial, Chemical, Petrochemical or Beverage
Markets you know that industrial networking is becoming common
place. If fact, in the Semiconductors Industry, DeviceNet Flow
Control is standard. In many other process industries both large
and small companies are beginning to require it. The added
benefits of faster, lower cost installation, higher quality
from the additional diagnostics and the ability to meet more
stringent federal mandates are vital to their long term
quality and cost containment strategies. When you
integrate the DeviceNet OEM Flow Control Module
you can quickly and easily achieve the benefits of
a module designed exclusively for Flow Manufacturers.
The standard DeviceNet OEM Flow Control Module is a DeviceNet
PCB with a thermistor input to record flow temperature and a
frequency input to measure process flows. The module is designed
to provide Flow Control manufacturers with accurate and repeatable
measurement of liquid flow and temperature. It measures temperatures
from -10° C to 110°C using a precision thermistor and
flow ranges from .1 gallons/minute to 60 gallons/minute.
The module provides Flow systems with a safety interlock Flow
Switch using a built-in NO/NC electromechanical relay. User
setpoints are set over one of the network communication links
and can provide electromechanical indication when temperature
or flow exceed the user-defined setpoints. Alarms can be specified
in both English and Metric units. All setpoints and network
parameters are stored in non-volatile memory and automatically
restored on power up.
The off-the-shelf circuitry and software can be customized to
modify the flow or temperature measurement as needed for specific
applications. |

| "It
was a great experience working with RTA, Inc.. They were
very collaborative, kept us updated at every stage
of development and fabrication, maintained an awareness
of our timeline and thoroughly examined the entire
process required to build and test our product.
With very quick turnaround, RTA, Inc. was able to enhance
the design of our product and increase the knowledge
of our personnel. They were also able to design
and supply us with test equipment for our new product.
We will definitely be using RTA, Inc. for our future needs
when it comes to the design and fabrication of electronic
components for our products." |
